About A.J.

A.J. Moyer has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of C3bank since 2016, helping shape the bank’s growth and evolution into an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven financial institution focused on serving business owners, entrepreneurs and commercial real estate clients.

A.J. joined C3bank in 2014 as Vice President of Finance and was named Chief Financial Officer later that year before assuming the role of President and CEO. Under his leadership, C3bank has continued to build on its entrepreneurial foundation, combining experienced bankers, thoughtful financial solutions and responsive decision-making with the technology and capabilities clients expect from a modern financial institution.

A.J. believes banking is fundamentally about relationships—understanding a client’s business, earning their trust and providing the right solutions as their needs evolve. His approach is grounded in accessibility, accountability and a commitment to being a long-term partner to the clients and communities C3bank serves.

Prior to joining C3bank, A.J. served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Business Development at Behr Process Corporation, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Auditor at KPMG. A.J. is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated valedictorian from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Beyond his role at C3bank, A.J. has remained actively engaged in the business community. He has served as an advisor to small businesses and entrepreneurs and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a global community of chief executives and business leaders. He is also involved with San Diego Sport Innovators (SDSI), supporting entrepreneurship and business development within San Diego’s sports and innovation community.
